AWANA BEGINS SEPTEMBER 15TH

The time has finally arrived!  That's right, the AWANA year is about to begin again.  Starting September 15th, our AWANA ministry is kicking into high gear.  The AWANA ministry creates a strong parent-church partnership that, along with the Gospel and Scripture memory, helps kids grow to know, love and serve Jesus Christ.  This program is instrumental in helping kids move toward spiritual maturity, resulting in a life-defining, long-lasting impact.  AWANA is held every Wednesday night from 6:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. for all children ages 4 to 12.

DAYBREAK QUARTET IN CONCERT

Southern gospel recording artists, the Daybreak Quartet, will appear in concert December 5th at Calvary Baptist Church. The Atlanta-based group has songs on the nationwide radio charts and has received several awards including top honors from the National Quartet Convention Competition in 1998. The concert begins at 6:30 P.M. and is open to the public free of charge. A love offering will be taken.  The Daybreak Quartet will perform songs from their latest album, "Not So Far Away," as well as sing a number of well-known southern gospel favorites--and will also take some time to perform requests from the audience in acapella four-part harmony.
